Whisper of the Fjords

The fjords were carved by kilometre-thick glaciers out of the ancient rock, creating narrow ocean inlets flanked by sheer cliffs and awe-inspiring peaks. In days gone by, the fjords were inhabited by Viking seafarers, hardy explorers who were the first European visitors to so much of the New World.

Svalbard the crown of the Arctic

Svalbard, a remote Arctic wilderness where the profound silence is both vast and enveloping. Here, in this rugged yet serene world of ice and snow, the footsteps of storied explorers echo through glacial valleys, and polar bears roam amidst a landscape lit by the ethereal glow of the Northern Lights.

In company of the wild

Encounter the mesmerizing Arctic wildlife first hand. Polar bears traverse vast, snowy expanses, and walruses cluster along icy shores – this is your playground. Under the dance of the Northern Lights, discover reindeer navigating through the silent tundra, while seabird colonies paint the cliffs with vibrant, lively displays.

Culinary journeys and Arctic slumbers

Indulge in rugged and refined experiences. Your culinary journey is inspired by Arctic trappers and hunters, intertwined with authentic and rustic accommodations. With inspiration from the wild outdoors our meals are prepared with age-old traditions and our spaces are a welcome reprieve from the elements.

Accommodation

Brosundet and Storfjord rank among the very best in Scandinavia and are perfect examples of the proud Norwegian tradition of hospitality. With direct access to the fjords, each hotel draws on the history of travel through the Sunnmøre region while adding all the modern amenities you would expect of such iconic, award-winning properties.

In Svalbard, you will have exclusive access to our unique wilderness accommodation at Isfjord Radio Station. A protected and rugged space, brimming with a history of exploration. Arguably one of the most remote options for private travelers in the world, this location with pristine views of the Arctic wilderness is an ideal place to stay.
